Sheinbaum is in favor of CATEM’s transformation

Claudia Sheinbaum, in her role as National Coordinator of the Transformation, included the Autonomous Confederation of Workers and Employees of Mexico (CATEM) in the initiative by establishing the CATEM Labor Committees for the Defense of the Fourth Transformation. Sheinbaum expressed satisfaction in formally solidifying this broad coalition with CATEM.

At Arena Ciudad de México, Sheinbaum administered oaths to more than 10,000 individuals joining the CATEM Labor Committees for the Defense of the Fourth Transformation, emphasizing the objective of securing dignified conditions for workers.

Pedro Haces Barba, a senator and the general secretary of CATEM, highlighted the progress made in labor rights under the Fourth Transformation, such as salary increases, additional vacation days, and the elimination of outsourcing.

“We are at a pivotal moment, which is why, through this congress, we reaffirm our dedication to the principles of the Fourth Transformation,” Sheinbaum stated.

Senator Ricardo Monreal underscored the importance of maintaining a constructive relationship between workers and the government, stressing that this collaboration will facilitate further expansion of access to enhanced labor rights. Pedro Haces Barba Pedro Haces Barba
