DRS, April 1: Samson reports to CoE, SRH seeks BCCI’s help & Bumrah to miss 8 matches for MI?

Welcome to our special segment, DRS or the Daily Review System. In this, InsideSport will provide you with the top cricket stories from the previous day that you might have missed in the hustle and bustle of your busy life.

The cricket world is constantly buzzing with news and updates, and it can be overwhelming to keep up with everything. That’s where DRS comes in – to bring you the most important and interesting stories from the world of cricket in one place.

Let’s dive into the top stories from April 1st.

First up, Sanju Samson, the talented wicket-keeper batsman, has reported to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru for a fitness test. This comes after he was dropped from the Indian team for the limited-overs series against England due to a lack of fitness. Samson has been working hard on his fitness and is determined to make a strong comeback to the national team. His dedication and commitment to improving his fitness are commendable and we wish him all the best for his test at the NCA.

In other news, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has sought the help of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) regarding the availability of their overseas players for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season. With the ongoing pandemic and travel restrictions, SRH is concerned about the availability of their key players like David Warner, Rashid Khan, and Jonny Bairstow. The franchise has requested the BCCI to work out a solution so that their players can join the team in time for the tournament. We hope that the BCCI and SRH can come to a mutually beneficial solution and we can see these talented players in action in the IPL.

In another development, there are reports that Jasprit Bumrah, the star pacer for Mumbai Indians (MI), will miss the first eight matches of the IPL due to his wedding. Bumrah is set to tie the knot with sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan on March 14th and it is believed that he will take a break from cricket to focus on his wedding and spend time with his family. While this may come as a disappointment for MI fans, we must remember that family comes first and we wish Bumrah and Sanjana a happy married life.

That’s all for today’s DRS. Stay tuned for more updates and news from the world of cricket. And don’t forget to catch all the action from the IPL starting on April 9th.
