The National Coordinator of the Committees for the Defense of the Fourth Transformation, Claudia Sheinbaum, participated in the 15th Congress of the Autonomous Confederation of Workers and Employees of Mexico (CATEM).
During the event, she received the endorsement of 194 organizations and unions across the country.
In the Mexico City Arena, CATEM announced its plan to establish 10 thousand Committees for the Defense of Labor Transformation. The purpose of these committees is to disseminate the actions of the Fourth Transformation (4T) throughout the country, particularly those benefiting workers.
“I am pleased to officially solidify this significant coalition with CATEM,” stated Claudia Sheinbaum during the event. She also committed to advocating for labor rights.
“I pledge to the workers of Mexico that we will continue defending workers’ salaries and labor benefits because we know that if workers thrive, employers thrive, and the country prospers. That is why the commitment is to continue working together,” Sheinbaum added.
