Trust What You Can See With Your Own Eyes

In the wake of the tragic killing of George Floyd by a police officer in Minneapolis, the nation has been gripped by outrage and calls for justice. But amidst the chaos and pain, there are some who are actively working to deny the undeniable truth – that a man was killed in cold blood by those who were supposed to protect and serve.

President Donald Trump, Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance, and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem have all taken part in a disturbing trend that has emerged in recent years – the deliberate manipulation of evidence and facts in order to create doubt and confusion. In this case, they are attempting to “Zapruder” a video of the incident, referring to the infamous film of John F. Kennedy’s assassination that has been scrutinized and analyzed for decades.

But why would they do this? Why would they try to discredit something that is so blatantly obvious? The answer lies in their desire to maintain the status quo, to protect their power and privilege, and to avoid taking responsibility for the systemic issues that have led to this tragedy.

Let’s start with President Trump. Throughout his presidency, he has consistently undermined the credibility of the media and the justice system. He has labeled any information that doesn’t align with his narrative as “fake news” and has repeatedly attacked and undermined the integrity of journalists and news organizations. So it’s no surprise that he would cast doubt on a video that shows the brutal killing of a black man by a white police officer. By doing so, he is once again trying to sow seeds of doubt and division, deflecting attention away from the real issue at hand – systemic racism and police brutality.

Next, we have Cyrus Vance, the Manhattan District Attorney who is currently investigating the Trump Organization for possible financial crimes. His involvement in this case is highly suspect, as he has a clear conflict of interest and could potentially benefit from undermining the credibility of the evidence. By questioning the validity of the video, he is attempting to cast doubt on the entire case, hoping to protect himself and his political allies.

And then there’s Governor Kristi Noem, who has been a vocal supporter of Trump and has made it clear that she will prioritize his agenda over the well-being of her own constituents. She has consistently downplayed the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic and refused to implement necessary safety measures, even as cases continue to rise in her state. So it’s no surprise that she would also try to discredit the video, as it goes against her narrative of a peaceful and stable America under Trump’s leadership.

But the truth cannot be denied. The video clearly shows a police officer kneeling on George Floyd’s neck for almost nine minutes, while he pleads for his life and says “I can’t breathe” before ultimately losing consciousness. It’s a horrific and heartbreaking scene that no amount of manipulation or denial can change.

It’s time to trust what we can see with our own eyes. It’s time to acknowledge and address the systemic issues of racism and police brutality that have plagued our nation for far too long. It’s time for accountability and real change.

We cannot let those in power continue to manipulate and distort the truth for their own gain. We must demand justice, and we must demand it now. We owe it to George Floyd, his family, and all the other victims of police brutality to stand up and speak out against this dangerous trend of denying the undeniable.

So let us not be swayed by those who try to “Zapruder” the video, causing us to doubt what we know to be true. Let us trust our own eyes and demand justice for George Floyd and all those who have been unjustly killed. Let us come together as a nation to create a better, more just future for all.
