On February 14th, Minister João Baptista Borges of the Ministry of Energy and Water, together with Energy Secretary António Belsa da Costa, greeted Danae Pauli, who acts as the Counselor for the “Global Partnership for Infrastructure and Investment” program under the United States Government. Also present was Ambassador Agostinho Van-Dúnem, representing Angola to the United States of America.
The primary focus of the meeting was on incorporating high-voltage transmission/transportation line projects in the Southern and Eastern regions as part of the Lobito Corridor framework. Additionally, discussions centered around preparing for the Strategic Energy Dialogue, seeking assistance from the Power Africa Program, and advancing the second phase of the Sun Africa project for the installation of Solar Parks in the country.
It’s important to highlight that the GPII, a governmental institution, contributes to the implementation and operationalization of Lobito Corridor projects.
