Nearly a ton of green algae was dumped on Monday, July 10, 2023, in front of the Finistère prefecture in Quimper. Activists denounce the State’s responsibility for the proliferation of green algae on the Breton coast, due to industrial farming and the development of factory farms on this territory. One in two, according to Greenpeace, is located in Brittany. More than 3,000 factory farms are counted in France and more than 25 million animals can be locked up in the 445 factory farms in Finistère, explains the association in a press release.
